National Association of Geoscience Teachers is developing a collection
of quality field experiences. This site showcases field trips being conducted
by educators all over the country and provides insight into the design
and pedagogy behind them. The intended scope of the collection is large,
encompassing field trips in K12 settings; in undergraduate classes in
geology, environmental science, science education, etc.; at professional
development opportunities for teachers and faculty; as well as in informal

Windows Into Wonderland, from the National Park Service, which
takes visitors on a series of electronic field trips (eTrips) into
Yellowstone National Park. Each eTrip is equipped with
curricular materials for teachers and an Ask an Expert area that provides an
archive of questions and answers. Many of the 15 eTrips have won awards. eTrips are available with and without audio and
video to accommodate most internet connections.
