My Glossary

Students can make their own glossary of terms. Ask students to:

  1. identify a word they do not know and write it down.
  2. find and write the definition.
  3. illustrate the word, if possible.
  4. write a sentence using the word.
EXAMPLE

Example from Science Content: Fossils.

Term: Fossil
Definition: Fossil: any evidence of past life

Sentence: We went to the museum and viewed and an exhibition full of dinosaur fossils.
