Assessment Types

In this section of the site, we have descriptions of various ways in which you can assess your students' learning, skills, prior knowledge and attitudes. To begin, we have descriptions of and examples for pre-assessments, projects, portfolios and student interviews. Over the next month, we will be adding advice on developing and using performance tasks, scoring those tasks using rubrics and converting scores to grades.

Shortly, we will be adding a menu to this section so that you can access the specific assessments we are developing for each of the Investigations in the Activities section of the site directly from here. For now, you can find these assessments by clicking on the Activities Crayon, and then following the roll-over menu to Investigations.
