How much is a seismologist paid?

In the early 1990s, average starting salaries for graduates with bachelor's degrees ranged from $21,000 to $36,000*. Starting salaries ranged from $24,000 to $38,500* for those with master's degrees and from $30,000 to $44,000* for those with PhDs. In general, experienced seismologists with bachelor's degrees tend to earn about $40,000 per year, with salaries averaging as high as $87,000* for doctorate-level seismologists in industry.
