of Education Statistics, 2006. The statistical highlights are excerpts from the Digest of Education of Statistics, 2006. The statistical highlights provide a quantitative description of the current American education scene. It includes information on the number of schools and colleges, teachers, enrollments, and graduates, in addition to educational outcomes, finances, and federal funds for education. Pages 28-29 sum up some of the highlights regarding math and science performance.
